Some people that decide to spread fake news could be people that like to make up conspiracies. Conspiracy theorists usually make up false information or get little evidence to make it seem as if the corona virus was a planned epidemic. Celebrities are also known to spread false information because of social media. Thousands of people can see what celebrities post and even if this is false information, people will still believe them. Others that can spread false information sometimes don't know they are spreading false information in the first place. They may have just made a mistake by talking about it without checking if the information is official.

People are using websites, like Instagram and twitter to spread fake news to anyone that would believe them about fake news on the Corona virus. People are saying that eating garlic and gargling salt water will help protect from the Corona virus. This drowns out true information and puts people that are looking for ways to protect themselves in danger. Some people are even saying that misquitoes can spread the virus but this is false. Social meda is a big influence on people and this can get people hurt when people spread false information.
